To: Mom…. an Ugly Postcard

After I moved to St. George in 2014, my Mother and I started regularly exchanging ugly postcards.  Despite how nontraditional snail mail is these days, I’m thankful that Postcards haven’t yet died out with all our technological communicators today.

I don’t know if this is just a she and I thing, or if she does it with my other siblings, but it’s something I love doing with her, and maybe it’s just our thing :). With this exchanging of postcards there is a constant unspoken competition to see who can send the ugliest of the ugliest postcards.

When I’m at the grocery store, on vacation, filling up gas in my car, window shopping , I find myself constantly looking at the postcard stands where ever I go (my hubs even helps me look for them, and he’s found some doozies out there!).

It’s amazing the amount of ugly/most random postcards there are in the world, but thanks to my Mother and I these companies at least have two regular customers sending them out.

Do you have any fun on going traditions that are just between you and your Mom, Sister, Aunty, Best Friend?

love, hannah jane
