Wife and Best Friend to Hailame
I met my wonderful, loud, friend to all, Tongan husband while working Jacob Lake Inn, near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in April 2013. We got married in October 2014 in the LDS Oquirrh Mountain Temple, and had a beautiful Tongan Wedding Celebration.
He is kindest, most loyal, positive man I have ever met. He lives to work hard, take care of his family, carry on family traditions, serve, play music, and play racquetball and pickleball for hours. He is my best friend.
In October 2016, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome after we tried to get pregnant for almost two years. PCOS has tested me not only in my reproductive health, but also emotionally, physically, mentally, while learning to be patient with myself and being happy with what I have, rather than focusing on what I lack.
Baby Making Journey
Join my husband and I as we start a new chapter in our life called, the Baby Making Journey. After 4 years of trying to have a baby, we have decided to work with a Infertility Doctor, get some answers, and hopefully at the end of it have a cute little baby! You can learn about the journey here.
I love cooking and baking. I love searching through Pinterest to find and try new recipes and tweaking them to make them just right for Hailame and I. While there have been multiple “Pinterest Fails,” Hailame and I have found a lot of our new favorites that we cook regularly. Looking forward to sharing some of my new favorites here.
Thrift Store Devotee
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” -English
For the majority of my adulthood life, I have prided myself in my sweet ability to find new treasures at Thrift Stores, saving me loads. When Hailame and I got married and moved into our new home, it was our goal to have as much as possible purchased second hand. With exception to the $10 DVD player, our bed mattress, and wedding gifts we had a full on Thrifty Home!
I love Chacos. I love Chaco Tan-lines. I love outdoor adventures. I love wearing Chacos while going on outdoor adventures and to get an awesome Chaco Tan-line. Enough said.
St. George, Utah
I love my life in St. George with Hailame. I never thought I would live here, but living here has been such a blessing for our marriage. I love the weather, the small town feel with a little bit of city feel to it. I love that there is always something to do here from city events, Dixie State University events, and loads of hiking. We enjoy having family and friends come to visit, thankfully the awesome weather is an easy enticement to get visitors to come often!
Thanks for enjoying my Simple Joys with me. Come again soon!
